He often interviews prominent scientists, including many Nobel laureates. There is a lot to unpack from these interviews. In this book, Prof. Keating delivers many of his interactions with brilliant scientists in a highly accessible manner, suitable for young people with no formal science training. I'd been viewing his intriguing podcasts, Into the Impossible, this past year. I'm not a scientist, but the interviews with the brilliant scientists show their humanity as well as their brilliance. Prof. Keating's wry and humorous interview style really "hooked" me. He brought out the humanity of his mighty co- scientists. As stated in the introduction, this book is for everyone who "struggles to balance the mundane with the sublime" - whether in work or in some greater vision.
